Brix Levels Are Starting To Roll In

Hello Winemakers,

The brix levels (sugar levels) are starting to roll in! Central Valley and Lodi are starting to check sugars and are sending them through. See below for these updates.

THE GRAPES

Suisun Valley, CA  No sugar levels yet. They are currently leaf pulling and dropping fruit to ensure that the vines produce the highest quality and concentrated berries this fall.

Lodi, CA – Harvest is looking to be about 2 weeks behind last year. 

-          Sangiovese: 13 Brix

-          Aglianico: 8.3 Brix

-          Muscat Cannelli: 11.1 Brix

-          Petite Sirah: 6.8 Brix

For Lodi – the below charts will be able to give you an idea of when grapes will start to harvest this season.





Central Valley, CA- Things are starting to ripen in CV as well! We are seeing the Black Muscat, Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache Blanc, and Teroldego start to creep up in sugar. I will have more updates as the specific numbers roll in.

Washington State- We are expecting these to start to harvest in early October. Starting with the Pinot Noir from Rattlesnake Hills.

THE JUICES

We bring in juices from all over the world! Below is information regarding our juices and their availability this fall. 

California Fresh Juice – We should have California juices arriving right after Labor Day. Make sure to be ready for the first big weekend of juice arrivals!

California and Italian Fresco Juices- These should start arriving in late September / early October. Make sure to pre-order these as we only bring in what is ordered.

Italian Fresh Juice- The Italian juices should start to arrive in early to mid October. If you want a specific variety please make sure to put in a pre-order with us.

Winemaker Hours:

One of our on-staff Winemakers -Sam Lee will be in the store and available for questions on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:00AM-2:00PM. If you want to speak to a winemaker in person, make sure to stop by and see Sam! You can also email him at slee@juicegrape.com.
