Hello Winemakers,

Harvest is HERE!  Yes that’s right, we are officially starting to harvest grapes next week. We will have grapes and juices from Central Valley and parts of Lodi by the first week in September! Many of the grapes have hit 23 Brix, so expect to see grapes ranging anywhere from 22.5-25.0 Brix. Once the grapes and juices start arriving we will take more numbers for you.

We spoke with Joe Guerriero of Cry Baby Vineyards and Wines and he said "the grapes are nice and ripe, have great color, and will make great wine this year." Berton Costamagna from Costamagna Vineyards and Zinderella Wines had some similar comments. He said, "The crop is a little lighter this year but the berries look good and should make some delicious wines this season."
