Syrah

Variety: Syrah

Color: Red

Other names: Shiraz (Australia)

Varietal Notes:

Probably originated in Persia. Most wines labeled Syrah have small amounts of other reds blended in to soften and add extra aromas. Syrah is not the varietal as Petite Sirah which, confusingly, is sometimes known as Petite Syrah.
