A finished wine from this block have a propensity towards dark Bing cherry, blackberry and generally has hints of eucalyptus flavors with very soft integrated tannins making balanced wines with ‘inky’ color standard from this block. The combination of the very warm site and limited crop load mitigate Cabernet Franc’s tendency towards ‘green’ notes. This block tends to ripen and develop more ‘ripe’ flavor profiles at lower sugar leaving slightly more acid on finished wines.
