Variety: Primitivo

Varietal Notes:

This grape originated in Southern Italy. It was recently found that the Zinfandel variety is a descendant of Primitivo. It is a very easy grape to manipulate for the winemaker. The wines taste amazing on their own but this variety can add good color to other wines without an overpowering flavor.

*Characteristics:**					Primitivo tends to be a very juicy powerful wine, similar to Zinfandel.
